from Townhall – President Obama was swept to office amidst his pledge that he’d run the “most transparent administration in history.” A new report out finds that he hasn’t even run the most transparent administration since the previous one.
The Associated Press analyzed the federal government’s own Freedom of Information Act data and found that federal agencies under President Obama have been as uncooperative as ever:
More often than ever, the administration censored government files or outright denied access to them last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, cited more legal exceptions it said justified withholding materials and refused a record number of times to turn over files quickly that might be especially newsworthy, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press.
The government’s own figures from 99 federal agencies covering six years show that halfway through its second term, the administration has made few meaningful improvements in the way it releases records. In category after category — except for reducing numbers of old requests and a slight increase in how often it waived copying fees — the government’s efforts to be more open about its activities last year were their worst since President Barack Obama took office.
And five years after Obama directed agencies to less frequently invoke a “deliberative process” exception to withhold materials describing decision-making behind the scenes, the government did it anyway, a record 81,752 times.
Indeed, as the AP finds, the Obama Administration has seen the use of national security exceptions to FOIA requests jump markedly over the past few years:

This comes on the heels of a report that the United States has become increasingly hostile to the press – and is indeed behind countries like El Salvador, Botswana, and Suriname when it comes to freedom of the press.

If they keep the House and gain the Senate and don’t start IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS against Obama immediately, I’ll never again vote Repub or Demo. — just throw my vote away voting for an Independent Party. Also, lets make everyone on the Supreme Court retire at 65. And if they can’t make non-political judgments anymore, revamp the COURT as follows — Elect only 1 qualified Judge every 5 years to flip coins on every issue it takes up. That verdict lasts 5 years and then another coin flip is taken on the same issue. New flips can be taken in between the 5 years anytime 1 million signatures request it. It has become a biased political court, so we need to do away with the present structure. Also, let’s start paying off our DEBT by eliminating IRA(CONSUMPTION TAX), NSA, HSA ( TAKE MORE CHANCES WITH terrorists or get out of MIDDLE EAST oil that helps to fund them, eliminate the Dept’s of Education and Health at the Fed. level. Also, either supply all the gas and oil for NATO, or get out of the NATO Alliance altogether. Move the U.N. to Brussels, so we don’t have to pay for its upkeep

French Revolution? Witchburning? Bannishment? Firing Squad? It is these type of irresponsible, “Whacko” attitudes that blemish an organization like AMAC and other conservative movements. The French Revolution wasn’t called the “Reign of Terror” for nothing. Dial down the passion, put your head on and address the issues reasonably. Otherwise this type of rhetoric will cause the movement to be dismissed with a broad stroke.

I don’t think a “third party” is the answer. It will become more Democratic or more Republican in time – we just need to refresh and stabilize the GOP; and move on. In the upcoming election, a third party entry will only take votes away from the Republicans, and may screw up the works. WE NEED TO TAKE THE SENATE BACK!!!! Period.

We definitely need to change the way the Supreme court works & how they get those positions of power & for how long! Look at what their decision on Obamacare has done to our country. Also, why wasn’t Barry’s background checked before we elected him – legal, authentic birth certificate & who paid his tuition to Columbia & Harvard? We should demand that all of our top candidates be fully vetted before they even get on the ballot. I do not know where PaulE or D.A. Are from or how old they are, but it is clear to me that they can think for themselves and have been taught to think critically not just passively accept what our government reports (or not). When one listens to our leader’s statements on Freedom of Religion, watch for his reference to it as a “Freedom to Worship.” We’re you to review any socialist/communist constitution you would believe it to be a model for good government with all of the expected protections set out clearly. Freedom of Religion conspicuously appears in these constitutions. Beware! The application of these guaranteed protections in places with socialist/communist constitutions is just as this administration pursues and four justices are in lock-step with this view. Freedom of Speech is also guaranteed in these constitutions and we know that the exercise of that freedom that offends the government can get one killed, jailed or invited to the Gulag.

President Obama should have been impeached and imprisoned a long time ago. His grandmother stated she was there in Kenya when Barack was born. He has never provided the long form birth certificate WITH the delivering physicians name. Well as we adopt more and more of the policies of socialism, which is what we’re doing each and every day, it is only natural that “transparency” would end up going out the window. Along with a whole host of other things associated with our constitutional form of government. Always judge a person by their actions, not by their words. Their actions speak the truth, that they might not dare to speak.
After all, how many socialists leaders have to explain or justify their decisions to the masses? Answer: none! The masses are simply supposed to cheer repeatedly when their leader speaks. No matter what is being said. Blind acceptance of the leader’s wishes and dictates are expected. Anyone who questions authority, once socialism has taken over completely and opposition has been neutralized, is ultimately either silenced, imprisoned or simply “vanishes” one night. Commies in the classroom borrowed from the bible( judge not lest you be judged), and from the civil rights movement to cobble together a practical means to strip people of their reason, starting at tender ages. When the highest goal is tolerance, without reference to the object, and the subject has been crippled by conditioning which says his own thinking process is useless, we arrive at the electorate we see today. The only young people I see today who aren’t victims of this robotization are home schooled or educated at conservative Christian schools. This is not to suggest that PC conditioning is absent fron religious schools. It isn’t. It is more a boil that can be lanced instead of a systemic disease the cure for which is much more daunting. Almost forgot; feelings are substituted for coherent thought. Reason is devalued and emotion put in its place. This helps immensely in the implementation of the slow revolution.
