Trump-bashing by political enemies aside, the country is ‘well-pleased’ with his impact on the economy, says AMAC

Trump impeachment projection

WASHINGTON, DC, Jan 17 — For the most part the American people expect a happy new year, according to a new Rasmussen Reports survey.  The poll found that 72% of 1,000 respondents feel good about 2020 compared to just 54% a year ago.

Dan Weber, president of the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC], says that one of the interesting aspects of the survey is that “more than half of those who have a positive view of the coming year believe the new year will be exceptional.  In a breakdown of its poll, Rasmussen found that 22% of those who participated said they expect an ‘excellent year’ and another 20% ‘predict it will be one of the best years ever’.”

Weber notes that the stock markets made an “impressive” start in the new year, continuing to post record gains.  “Unemployment is at an historically low point and the job market and consumer spending is strong.  In general there is widespread optimism that America’s economic growth will continue in the first year of the new decade.”

Meanwhile, another study by Rasmussen pollsters shows that the economy is strong.  As the study put it:  “The economy continues to wow this month with the Rasmussen Reports Economic Index hitting 147.8  in January, up 3.5 points from last month and smashing through the five-year high.”

Weber points out that the index President Obama’s was at a high of 121.5 at the beginning of 2015 and in the last month of his tenure it stood at 108.1.

“Despite the political Trump-bashing that the president has been taking leading up to the next Presidential Election in November, American citizens — in general — seem well-pleased with the impact Mr. Trump has had on their financial well-being,” Weber added.

I am all for President Trump and his handling of our nation as our leader and things are better since he came on the picture. I will vote again for Pres. Trump because he is not a democrat communist. Ever since he arrived , the dems have wasted several hours, days and months trying to get rid of him as he does not want to give America away in the incorrect manner the dems seem to want to do. So get right all you democrats and become real Americans again …go with the Republican flow to make our country even better than ever in time…and remember

I would add my name to the group of people seeing and improvement in the country. I did not think he could do it, but his hard work has proved so many people wrong. I love the fact that he truly has faith in America and its possibilites. That Americans are truly a great country.

I’ve never seen a situation where any entity (country, company, family) wants to bash someone that has provided a major upgrade. But, alas, it seems, to many, that is who we are. Our president is a super-star. The “swamp” , apparently, cannot stand the fact that someone (Trump) shows us all that in less than 3 years we can solve our major problems very quickly. The key , to me , is that the swamp needs to understand that the real talent of the US is in the private sector ( where Trump came from)
and not from “swamp” creatures who really have not solved any of our problems and consists of people of limited ability. The most feared revelation of the Trump
presidency is that the theift of the swamp is now exposed naked under a spotlight. Trump, thankfully, has exposed that our government cannot be trusted.
The swamp has for years known this but is now beserk that someone, Trump, has told this to the “little guy”.

THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY HATE’S THIS PRESIDENT SO MUCH THAT FOR 3 YEARS , THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT IMPEACHMENT, THESE DEMOCRATS ARE NO LONGER THE PARTY OF JFK, AND TO THINK THAT I VOTED FOR THEM ALL THESE YEARS EXCEPT FOR THE YEAR THAT DONALD TRUMP CAME INTO THE PICTURE, THIS IS WHEN MY EYE’S WERE FINALLY OPENED TO THE VILE CORRUPTION THAT HAS TAKEN HOLD OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY , IN FACT , THEY ARE NO LONGER DEMOCRATS, THEY ARE SOCIALIST’S PENDING COMMUNIST’S….FOR YEARS, THE DEMOCRATS PRIME OBJECTIVE WAS TO BARE DOWN ON THE PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THE ELDERLY AND MINORITY GROUPS, TO SLOWLY TAKE AWAY THE FREEDOMS THAT WE AS AMERICANS ENJOY , TO SUPPRESS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THROUGH OUR WEAKNESS AND TO KEEP US FROM BEING INDEPENDENT, BUT THEY WOULD IMPOSE ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THEIR WILL, AND KEEP US ENSLAVED IN POVERTY, THIS IS WHAT IS CALLED SLOWLY TURNING THE SCREWS TO THE IDEA OF A SOCIETY THAT WILL DEPEND ON THE GOVERNMENT THAN THEMSELVES, AND WE WERE SLOWLY AGREEING WITH THOSE PEOPLE IN POWER , NOT REALIZING THAT THE CHANGE WAS TAKING HOLD, AND IF HILLARY CLINTON WOULD OF BEEN ELECTED, THEN THAT WOULD OF BEEN THE CAP TO THE BOTTLE, THAT WOULD OF BEEN THE BEGINNING TO THE NEW WORLD ORDER AND GLOBALIZATION….. THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES , FROM THEN ON WOULD OF HAD OUR FREEDOMS STRIPPED AWAY………….DO YOU KNOW WHY THE YEAR 2030 IS SO IMPORTANT, AND WHY THE SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS ARE PUSHING FOR CLIMATE CHANGE, BECAUSE THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT THE UNITED STATES AND THE EUROPEAN UNION ALONG WITH THE UNITED NATION’S WOULD OF BEEN GLOBALIZED SOCIALISM, THE YEAR, THE ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT WOULD OF BEEN FORMED, BUT SINCE WE AND A FEW OTHERS BACKED OUT OF THE CLIMATE ACCORD IN PARIS, THAT THERE HAS PUT A MONKEY WRENCH INTO THE WORKS, BUT THE UNITED NATIONS AND THE SO-CALLED DEMOCRATS (AKA SOCIALIST’S/COMMUNIST’S) HERE IN THE UNITED STATES ARE STILL PUSHING FOR IT TO COME TO PASS…..THAT THERE IS PUSHING THEIR WILL ONTO YOU , IT IS EITHER THEIR WAY OR NO-WAY, BUT THAT IS WHY THEY ARE TRYING TO IMPEACH THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES , BECAUSE HE IS INTERFERING WITH THEIR PLANS AND THESE POLITICIANS , WHICH ARE SUPPOSE TO WORKING FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO PUSH THEIR AGENDA ON THE POPULUS REGUARDLESS, WHO IT HURTS OR DESTROYS…..REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP IN NOVEMBER, AND GET RID OF THESE SOCIALIST’S THAT ARE TRYING TO TAKE OVER WASHINGTON D.C. Why is it “President Obama” and “Mr. Trump”? It should read President Trump, and former-president 0bama.

Good question Sharon, and thank you. I feel this form of reference usually indicates the political leaning of the writer/speaker. Proper reference should also extend to former vice president, senator, congressional rep, judge, et cet. The media has a large hand in perpetuating this type of reference. Educated people should use the appropriate reference whether we like or dislike the person in question. One of the many signs of disrespect that have become evident in the society and political climate we live in today.,

Continuing in praying, standing and supporting President Trump. Never in all of my life has any president of either side or in between, motivated the people, improved and repaired so many things and expressed the love of this country more than President Donald Trump! Do I need to include no president has ever had the tenacity and fortitude to continue pressing on regardless of what fires at him!

I am sure that the majority of Democrat/socialists are wondering just how in the world they can convert America to socialism when things are going so well. I guess just more lies and hatred as well as convincing the weak minded that everything that is seen, just isn’t so. Hey, it’s worked in the past!

I am happy the stock market is doing well. I LOVE this President, however there is a LARGE majority of Americans who do not have extra money to invest in the stock market so are being left out of the so-called Boom. I am a nurse (LPN) and make a decent (but not huge ) income–but because I am single I have to pay through the nose in taxes and only have 1 income to cover all my bills. So I do not ever even have money to put into a retirement fund–and I am only 4 years from retirement. The President needs to cut the taxes on those of us who are in a single income household to 15%. Mitt Romney pays only 15% in taxes–why should the rest of us who struggle to make ends meet have to pay more than he does????I have no debt (except my mortgage) but once the bills are paid each month, I usually have less than $5.00 left over–yet I pay my bills in full and on time. It leaves me nothing for savings or retirement. I need a HUGE tax break. My employer is making millions with the Tax cut the President gave, but has not allowed that money to trickle down much. I have only had one 2% raise in 6 years–in the meantime the cost of living has gone up a lot and I have no more room for ‘play’ in my budget. HELP US President Trump!! I will vote for him either way, but I hope he will help those of us who Truly need a DEEP tax cut!

I feel your pain. Unfortunately, the Democrats will not lower taxes despite what they may say. The “freebies” that they are willing to dangle in front of the voters will only increase taxes and take away from our military budget. Lower taxes are desperately needed but unfortunately, none of the politicians want “their” projects to take a hit. We need to vote for politicians that will cut spending and lower taxes. Thank you for your service as a nurse. God bless.

I love President Trump too. He truly works for all of us. obama made sure to take care of illegals…in his aca insurance he buried the “amnesty bonus” wherein illegals send to the irs a statement from 3 past employers showing they were employed and they will receive $8,000 per year worked and can collect up to $24,000. Why can’t they just destroy that aca timebomb that would destroy all of his hidden bombs. We need a law that states America will never have single payer/government insurance/ or “tax” again which is what obama called it. Join the discussion…He was never impeached; he should have been and made to open his sealed documents which are still sealed. I would love to see Americans who lost their insurance because of him, sue his [email protected]@. After obama all are in the same boat that he created. But Trump has done his very best for all of us. I pray that he wins again in 2020. I also think he deserves another 4 years after that to make up for these current 4 years where he has been harassed, investigated, threatened impeachment all by the hateful jackasses of the communist party of democrats

President Trump will likely be in the history books as our all time best President despite constant resistance from All Democrats and some so called Republicans.
Imagine if the Democrats were not constantly aggressively dividing our country in an effort to retain and appease their party under such impressive results from our President.
Pelosi should be impeached for this coup attempt and dividing our country causing unwarranted panic and causing an environment where uninformed society is violating laws thinking that Pelosi is speaking the truth.

The difference between now and last June in my 401K would be enough to buy a new car with! Thank you Mr. President!

But what cracks me up is all the dems running for president claim that the economy is terrible and that raising taxes and implementing socialism will “fix” it! LOL! Especially Bloomberg. He should know better, being a businessman himself. I’m surprised he even has two nickles to rub together, with economic savvy like that.

Before President Trump was elected, Obama assured us that the days of significant economic growth were behind us. After President Trump was elected, Obama assured us that his policies were actually growing our economy. Amazing, how Obama and the likes of Schumer and Pelosi keep on telling us bold, shameless lies — so sad that so many partisan Americans still believe in the Wizard of Oz, Obama. The help wanted signs dont lie and they’re everywhere. But, bernie would say, ‘those are entry level jobs’. Maybe, but when i talk to contractors i hear the same tune: they cant find help at twice minimum wage. A marble and granite contractor told me hes hiring 45 yr olds away from other fields. Once, winston churchill stood astride history and made all the difference in the world. Later, ronnie did what the swamp said couldnt be done and shouldnt be done if it could be done because reducing the soviet union would be destabilizing. Detante was shown to be the sham it always was. Now we have trump the great lifting up this country after eight yrs of humiliation. As the musicians sang it ‘God works in mysterious ways’. Keep praying.

Yes sir. Heres how i see this: I thought the election of hillary was a done deal. I didnt think trump had a chance. Hillary, on top of the previous eight yrs wouldve plunged the country into unrecoverable socialism . In fact, i doubted there would ever be another reasonably fair election. My choice was cruz, who i see now as going down to a defeat like dole in 1996. She wouldve claimed a mandate. There wouldve been ‘enabling acts’, along with edicts. Trump was the only hope from the git, when he stood on the early primary podia with fifteen others. Reagan was ridiculed and accused of purposely hoping for nuclear war. In fact, he was willing to go for a win when the elites counseled caution and detante. Churchills contemporaries wanted a peace treaty with hitler, which, i must admit, seemed to make sense in that hitler was willing to offer generous terms at that point. Churchill knew that any peace in 1940 wouldve been broken at hitlers convenience. Churchill and reagan were dealing with external evils. Now we are fighting it from within. Trump is the only public figure built for this type of fight who is available and willing. Hes a heroic figure as far as im concerned. Btw, welcome. Its not easy to admit error and i commend you. I refer to your vote in 16.

Thanks for your compassion, Dr Morbious.
You give a comprehensive look at history (a skill sadly lacking in our youth).
Indeed, an excellent case can be made for Winston Churchill as the savior of Western Civilization.
Another awful thought about a “President” Hillary.
It would be a de facto 3rd term for Billy boy.
Does anyone seriously think he would stay out of the Oval Office?
You remember Bill? that model of honesty who famously said, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms Lewinsky”.
Now I got myself all worked up . Time for a tranquilizer.

Agreed! Best overall stock market performance in over 90 years! Lowest unemployment numbers in decades! Seven million more job openings than there are people to fill them! New and better trade deals with China, Mexico, Canada, South Korea and Japan, which means even better economic growth going forward!

Anyone who wants to work can get a job unlike the “new normal” economy The One tried to convince the public that “This is the best that can be done.” Only those perpetually living on welfare with their hands permanently out-stretched looking for more “free stuff” or those who believe they are entitled to be supported for life simply because they think they are owed a free ride find this reality unacceptable. To them I say if you think any so-called Democrat is going to deliver the Utopia of free of stuff being promised by any of the clowns running for POTUS on the Democrat side, then just look at all the other countries that have gone the socialist route before. The Democrats here are running on the exact same socialist policies that were sold to the people in those other countries. The list of countries is long and the results have always been the same. Everyone is equal alright. So-called social and economic justice has indeed made everyone equal. Income inequality, the idiotic argument of the left, has been completely resolved. Everyone has been made equally poor, miserable and starving and completely at the mercy of a government that controls virtually all aspects of their existence.

This morning’s crawl on Fox: Peace-time cost of Bernie Sanders’ policies, $60 trillion!! Throw in a skirmish in Syria (oh, right, he’d probably sell our arms and tanks to Iran and Russia), a cyber attack on our pipelines, another monster Sandy Hook hurricane, and say good-bye to your assets. No end to this madness if any one of the dems gets into office.

Hi Kim,

I’ve been researching and applying real world numbers to the all the policy proposals being put forth by the Democrat candidates for several months now. Their plans are all largely duplicative of each other and just varying slightly by who supposedly gets hit harder per each candidate’s spin. I’ve also been analyzing how the creators (the so-called academics and economic experts who actually crafted these Utopian visions) of these various policy proposals calculated their so-called costs in order to determine how accurate (that’s a joke when it comes to any government spending proposals) their cost estimates are.

You can toss out the $60 trillion dollars over 10 year cost estimate of Bernie’s total set of policies. Even the folks at FOX know that number is grossly under-estimating the cumulative total of Bernie’s plans. They’re just reporting what the Sanders campaign says it will cost, not the real numbers. When I and others have calculated the true cost of the GND, Medicare for All, the expense of college for all and the rest of the Bernie wish list, the realistic estimate adds to between $160 to $$200 trillion dollars over 10 years. That’s depending on how fast various economic sectors collapse under the forced regulatory changes to whole sectors of the economy and government literally stamping out other sectors of the economy to create the socialist Utopia Sanders is promising.

The federal government currently spends a bit over $4.5 trillion a year. Even tossing out ALL military spending and the United States effectively unilaterally disarming (the progressive dream going back decades), that only cuts the federal spending number to $3.7 trillion annually. So that means the federal government will need to take in an additional $12 to $16 trillion per year in taxes under the most rosy of conditions. When is the last time the government brought any program in on budget? Answer: Never! Even the total confiscation of every millionaire’s and billionaire’s total assets in the United States would only pay for about six weeks of the first year of Bernie’s plans. Then they’re all broke. After that, the federal government will have to turn its sight’s directly on the middle class and poor of this country to pay for the Utopian dream. Same as every other implementation of socialism has played out around the world. Given almost all of Bernie’s promises entail massive spending increases in the face of a permanently contracting and changing economy, it doesn’t take a doctorate in economics to see where this will lead to.
